Christmas Banquet!

Our annual Christmas banquet in Cloudcroft was quite a trip this year.  It began to snow on the way up and we had some major slips and slides as we were heading up the hill.  We also had a long traffic jam and I got some great pics of the snow and backed up traffic.  It was a little scary, I must admit.  But, the drive was totally worth the fun we had at the Lodge in Cloudcroft!

Snow for Thanksgiving!

We actually got a beautiful snow fall the weekend before Thanksgiving!  The girls had the week off, so they were able to really enjoy it!

I have to catch up on the past few months!  

Here a our Thanksgiving pics.  Grandpa C and Grandma A came for the big turkey day.  It has been ages since we have seen them and we had such a nice reunion!  

Our resident Mike was there and some of the girl's friends from church came over later for games and desserts.  

I feel so blessed by the last few Thanksgivings we have had.  We got to visit my mom and Dan in GA last year (hi, Mom & Dan!) and we got to visit Frank's wonderful sis and hubby the year before (hi, Kim & Steve!)

I love this Holiday!!!

First Day of School *Sniff*

Well, it has finally come.  I have to release my babies once again to the public school system.
They had a great day and were full of excitement and stories.  Lucy carried her bible around all day in her arm!  Go Lucy!
Sarah brought the hope of Jesus to a new friend who prayed with her in art class!  Go Sarah!

My hair cut

OK, so I got a hair cut and Sarah took some pics of me and said I had to put this up for all to see, so here it is!

My little Lucy has quite the sense of humor.  We just got our hair cut the same way and I wanted to take her pic to blog about.  She does not do things the conventional way, so she was eating a cheese stick and stuck a piece in her mouth for her cheese-y smile.  Love that little girl!

Misty Morning Mountains

For the last couple weeks, we have had unusually cool weather and drippy, rainy days.  I love this reprieve from the heat.  The summers can get up to 110 on my little froggy thermometer outside my kitchen window. Here is the view that greeted me this morning when I went out to get the paper.

We had our quarterly launch at Premier!  Body Pump rocks!  3 awesome ladies and myself, got to "bring it" with Body Pump release #86.  I am so glad I get to teach for such a great company.  :-)

My Hair!!!

This is not funny but you might laugh.  It is OK. You are not a terrible person for laughing at my little mishap.
I have a nice new haircut that I got from the lovely gals at the local beauty college.  I was drying my hair with the blow dryer and setting up my flat iron for the straightening process.  I got all finished drying and took the flat iron and flattened one piece of my hair...
And smelled the worst smell!  My hair got burnt!   Right after the burning, it smoked and got all fuzzy and it is still fuzzy two days later.
Also, my flat iron gave up the ghost at the same time and died.  Sigh.   Not fun when beauty tools do not make you beautiful!!!

Sarah's appendix burst in 2010

Here are some pics from the appendix issue Sarah had.  Doctors and nurses alike can only say what a miracle it is that Sarah is still with us.  She had her appendix burst on a Tuesday and we didn't figure out what was wrong until Friday.  

Thank you God for saving my baby!!!

Little Librarians

For the past few summers, the girls have been volunteering at the library.  (It is Sarah's favorite place to hang out.  She is always asking if anyone wants to go with her to the Library!)
They participate in the summer reading program and get free prizes for reading books.  I personally don't think they need anymore encouragement to stick their nose in a book.
They love volunteering and helping out our awesome children's librarian.
